“The Voice of Buckhead Business”
Bringing together and promoting business in Buckhead
Founded 1951, the Buckhead Business Association has evolved to become one of the most widely recognized organizations for the Buckhead business community. Our mission is to bring together and promote business in Buckhead, as well as participation in the Buckhead community.
Who are BBA members? Our membership is as diverse as the Buckhead business community it represents. Corporate members include banks, financial and educational institutions, hotels, restaurants, caterers, retail, real estate, professional services, technology, printing, art and entertainment as well as respected members of the community. Corporations outside of Buckhead, such as The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, AT&T, The Coca-Cola Company, Sprint Nextel and Georgia Power, recognize the importance of BBA as an organization and have a sponsorship presence in our vibrant community. Dollar for dollar, the BBA is one of the best businesses investments you can make.
The Buckhead Business Association meets each Thursday morning at Anthony’s, 3109 Piedmont Road, in the heart of Buckhead. A continental breakfast buffet is available beginning at 7:30, where members gather to meet other members and guests prior to being seated for the 8:00 am program. Each Thursday, community updates keep members “in the know” on important happenings, as well as a featured keynote speaker who offers insights into the Atlanta community. Recent speakers have included former Atlanta Mayor Sam Massell, President Buckhead Coalition, Lisa Borders, President Atlanta City Council, Michael Shapiro Director of the High Museum, Dale Russell Investigative Reporter for Fox 5 News, David Nehmias, US Attorney, Vernon Jones, DeKalb County CEO, Paul Howard Jr., Fulton County DA, James Shepherd, Founder of the Shepherd Center, as well as numerous business experts, authors, and community leaders. BBA weekly topics and speakers are varied and entertaining. The meeting adjourns promptly at 9:00am.
Quarterly Luncheons bring together the Buckhead business elite. Held at 103 West, luncheons average 175 in attendance. Both corporate tables of 8 (with signage) and individual reservations are welcomed. Corporate luncheon sponsors appear in Atlanta Journal-Constitution advertisements and gain exposure via email to our exclusive distribution list. Recent keynote speakers have included Mayor Shirley Franklin, Secretary of State Karen Handel, Coach Bill Curry, CEO Tom Bell, educator Ron Clark, and author Jack Canfield.
The Buckhead Business Association Annual Luncheon takes place each January at the Atlanta History Center’s Grand Overlook ballroom. Co-hosted with the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, join the who’s who in Buckhead, as we honor the nominees and winner of the coveted Buckhead Business of the Year Award. Keynote speakers at the Annual Luncheons have included notables such as Herman Cain, Clark Howard and the honorable Governor Sonny Perdue.

What is Buckhead?
With 28 square miles of stately charm and contemporary character, Buckhead has created one of the East Coasts most esteemed communities.
Buckhead is different things to different people, a town of simple pleasures in the 1950's and 1960's, it has become a community of 70,000 people (daytime population rising to 140,000) living in more than 55 neighborhoods with 16,300 individual homes and 21,600 multifamily dwellings, 21,000,000 square feet of office space, 5,000 hotel rooms and high rises along Peachtree Street, which many refer to as "Atlanta's Park Avenue". There are 1,400 retail outlets, 200 dining establishments, 75 art galleries, almost 50 parks, some of the nations best schools, over 2 dozen hotels including 4 luxury flagships, a variety of public events that draw over almost 700,000 people as well as stately houses of worship and "the greatest concentration of small companies in the US." (as reported by Inc . Magazine).
Since 1952, Buckhead has been part of the City of Atlanta, yet is has earned many distinctions which have formed its unique identity.
