YoungBucks President's Message

Hello everyone!

Thank you for your interest in the Young Bucks and the Buckhead Business Association. As a young professional organization, the Young Bucks strive to grow our diverse membership while supporting Buckhead businesses. The more we grow our membership, the more opportunities exist for you to meet other professionals who can help you learn and succeed. I have no doubt 2009 will prove to be an exciting year. The new Speaker Series and “Give Back Initiative” are two great additions to the monthly social calendar. Charitable involvement and access to information are just two great benefits the Young Bucks offer our members.

When I began working with the Young Bucks, I wanted to continue the growth of the organization within the Buckhead community. I sought out feedback from current and prospective members on how to increase the value of membership. The overwhelming response was a desire to see the Young Bucks give back to the community. With this charitable interest in mind, the Young Bucks introduced the “Give Back Initiative”. This initiative combines a networking event with a forum for members and guests to donate and get to know a different non-profit organization every other month. My hope is that our members will then be motivated to commit their time to the charity that inspires them. With the support of our host restaurant Seasons 52, I look forward to seeing the Young Bucks give back.

Just as exciting, the Young Bucks continue to offer reciprocal membership with the BBA. As a young professional you may find you identify more with the younger crowd. But with access to membership in the BBA, young professionals are invited to network with another diverse group of established professionals. BBA members offer yet another perspective on career growth and are ready to share their valued contacts and experiences business.

The opportunities to grow both personally and professionally are unlimited with the Young Bucks and the BBA. As a member you can tap into as many as you choose. I hope you will be encouraged to join us this year!
