Atlanta Falcons Coach Dan Quinn to Address Buckhead Business Association June 23

ATLANTA, June 16, 2015 — Dan Quinn will give his first keynote address as the Atlanta Falcons’ head coach on June 23 during the Buckhead Business Association’s signature luncheon.

The luncheon is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel & Conference Center. Tickets are $75 for BBA members and $85 for non-members and are available for purchase through the BBA’s website, buckheadbusiness.org.

Quinn was announced as the Falcons’ 16th head coach in February. The New Jersey native previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks.

“We’re honored Dan Quinn selected the BBA for his first keynote address,” said Greg Davis, president of the BBA. “The Atlanta Community has embraced the new coach, and we’re looking forward to hear from him not just about his vision for the team this season, but about his perspective on leadership. This signature luncheon will be one to remember.”

Success continues off the field with Quinn’s foundation, Quinn’s Corps. He and his wife, Stacey, started the non-profit organization in 2005 to impact and support the lives of service men and women at home and abroad.

The foundation provides military families that are stateside with tickets to games, while sending special care packages to soldiers who are deployed overseas.

Also at the luncheon, the BBA will honor one of its members with the Fifth Annual Karl A. Bevins Service Award.

The honor recognizes a BBA member who is an active community servant in Buckhead and who shows dedication to the business organization through regular participation in BBA events, committees and projects. The honor will be bestowed at the BBA’s Signature Luncheon in June.

The award is named for Karl Bevins, a long-time BBA member who also served as Atlanta’s first traffic engineer. After a lifetime of community service, Bevins passed away in 2011 at the age of 96.

Past honorees are banker Donna Kain, Realtor Jill Heineck, past President Elizabeth Gill, business owner Karen Losin and late Past President Albert Maslia.

The BBA will also present Public Safety Awards to officers from the Atlanta Police Department (Zone 2), the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department.
