Atlanta Tech Village Founder David Cummings to Speak to BBA on Oct. 1

ATLANTA, Sept. 17, 2015 — The founder of the Atlanta Tech Village will speak to the Buckhead Business Association (BBA) during the organization’s Oct. 1 breakfast meeting.

David Cummings, a noted entrepreneur, transformed an office building at the intersection of Piedmont and Lenox roads into the Atlanta Tech Village. The 103,000-square-foot collaborative center for innovation is the largest technology entrepreneur center in the Southeast.

Among his many honors, Ernst & Young in 2013 named Cummings an Entrepreneur of the Year in the deal category, and The Atlanta Business Chronicle has named him one of the 100 most influential Atlantans. Cummings also serves on the boards of the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Buckhead Coalition.

During its annual luncheon in January, the BBA awarded Cummings with the Bullish on Buckhead honor for his work in developing the Atlanta Tech Village.

Also on Oct. 1, the BBA is hosting “Bring a Colleague to Breakfast Day” on Oct. 1. On the day, invited guests of BBA members can attend the breakfast for no charge.

The BBA meets at 7:30 a.m. most Thursday mornings at the City Club of Buckhead and features a mix of business, political and civic leaders as speakers. Tickets for members are $10 in advance and $12 at the door; non-member tickets are $20.
