Former Professional Wrestler Lex Luger To Speak at BBA Breakfast on March 19

 

ATLANTA (March 13, 2009) — Lawrence Wendell Pfohl (born June 2, 1958) best known by his ring name Lex Luger, is a former professional wrestler and football player. On Thursday, March 19, Lex Luger will deliver the keynote address at the weekly Buckhead Business Association (BBA) breakfast meeting, held at the City Club of Buckhead.

"After Lex suffered and recovered from a spinal stroke a couple of years ago, his perspective on life changed dramatically," notes Elizabeth Gill, President of the BBA. "Our members and guests will be fascinated by his story of Recovery & Redemption.

Lex Luger, who as a professional wrestler also used the aliases The Narcissicist, The Total Package, and The All American, made his wrestling debut in October 1986. Career highlights include winning the National Wrestling Alliance /World Championship Wrestling U.S. Championship five times, winning both the WCW World Championship as well as the WCW TV Championship twice, and he was the WCW Tag Team Champion. The 6'5" tall athlete was known for his finishing move, the ‘human torture rack.' Most recently Luger has been traveling to various churches giving his testimony about his life decision of becoming a "born-again" Christian. 

The weekly BBA breakfast meeting, which is held at the City Club of Buckhead, takes place every Thursday from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. The City Club of Buckhead is located at 3343 Peachtree Road, Suite 1850.
