Business Empowerment Breakfasts take place on Thursday mornings from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Maggiano's Buckhead, and feature thought leaders and influencer from all over the country. Past speakers have included business and civic leaders, authors, entertainers and representatives from some of the City’s finest cultural establishments.  Networking takes place beginning at 7:30 a.m. with a call to order promptly at 7:45 a.m.

BBA Breakfast: Featuring Amanda Gorecki--President of Healing Waters and Pure MD Skin Science .

Amanda Gorecki, an advanced registered nurse practitioner, is the founder and president of Healing Waters and Pure MD® Skin Science. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle Pacific University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She trained at Harborview Medical Center and Duke University where she worked as an emergency room nurse and nurse practitioner for the Department of Neurosurgery before venturing into private business.

Gorecki founded Healing Waters in 2002, which has been named twice as the Best Medical Spa in the Country and is the recipient of numerous local awards for Best Spa, Best Massage and more. Healing Waters offers traditional spa treatments, aesthetic procedures, plastic surgery procedures, and wellness programs designed to improve diet, exercise, hormonal imbalance and lifestyle habits. There are currently three Healing Waters spas located in Kansas, North Carolina and South Carolina.

In 2007, Gorecki pursued one of her greatest passions by developing the proprietary skin care line, Pure MD® Skin Science. Pure MD® addresses concerns of aging-skin, acne, rosacea and more by combining the best ingredients from both nature and science. Gorecki is regarded as an expert on skin care ingredients and has lectured nationally on cosmeceuticals at various women’s conferences nationwide.

Enterprising Women Magazine named Gorecki the Enterprising Woman of the Year in 2013. She is an Atlanta member of the Women Presidents’ Organization, has received the Champions of Respect Award from the YWCA Women’s Shelter, was nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and was named one of the 40 Under 40 by the Wichita Business Journal.

Gorecki strives to make a difference in the lives of others and to help people find their self-confidence and to feel good about themselves. She does so in her roles as an advanced registered nurse practitioner, entrepreneur, wife and mother. Gorecki currently resides in Gainesville, Ga., with her husband and four children.
